Two very different things have fascinated me since I was a child. The first are the infinite options of hot glass, the endless variety of colored light it creates and it's fragility but also strength. The second is landforms and geology - the innate balance and harmony found in nature. Since my earliest airplane flights those forms and patterns have found their way into my designs and glass has been my medium of choice. For years I focused on art glass, starting with leaded glass and then fused glass and etched glass. Recently I have been spending more time making jewelry. My fascinations are still there as I create fused glass and lampworked glass beads and with my most recent pieces that feature metals combined with natural stones and druze. Each of my creations are one-of-a-kind.
I still enjoy the challenge that comes with commissioned pieces. When I can develop a design that pleases the client and satisfies my own design sense, I am truly happy.
